What we are going to do today is to build out frame -shade structure,so we can put a shade net over plants. High temperature hurt vegetables, you can find already the plants are starting to burn a little bit. We have posts and i let them taller and what we are going to dig holes which i have already started digging and these holes we are going to put more posts in and we will be able to run a piece of wood going all the way across to each one of those posts in order to run our save tarp across so that is we are doing below.

Firstly, we need fence, because the fence post are already cemented in as well and that is going to give us our support back and forth once we get the concrete in we are going to take one of these. These fence rings we are gonna actually bolt it on there and put our pole through into the hole and then we will submit the post into the ground just got a long loose. We have the post inside of it.

Secondly, just put the post holder on the fence. Then we are gonging ahead and level it the reason we left this loose we did not tighten this bolt so that we can move the post around so that it’s level and we can move it a little bit if we need to and just walk around the post. So next we have go our pulse set we will put the cement in later, but in order to get our poles in a good straight line. When we put our wooden beams across there that they look right we are going to tie a string low down to both holes and then we will know where to dig our hole.

Thirdly, we measured the distance equal between the two posts. We got the holes filled with dirt now Scott’s going through and putting the brackets on that will hold the board’s going across what we are doing is just taking a beam and going across in both directions there is a level on top so that we can make sure our brackets are leveled before we start screwing all the boards in these are he brackets that are going to hold the wood that’s going to go across to help square it up and provide some extra stability. We have get all of our beams going long ways and crosswise for extra support Scott’s gone through and tightened everything down now we are going to cut the poles put the caps on top the reason you want to do that is to prevent them from rusting front of the inside out as rain would collect in them.

Fourth, Now we are going to drill a hole through the middle section that we do have marked and through that hole. We need run some electrical conduit that conduit is going to prevent any sagging that is going to be part of the installation of the conduit. We put these couplings on there.

And then we are take it over to the beams  and cut to fit through the center. Slide our conduit through until our coupling hits on the other side we are going to just mark the center of coupling with the EMT,pushed bottom doubt on the other side take it back. Cut it, where i made my mark, we can use a pipe cutter. It ‘s this one that is designed for electrical conduit. These cut we put through come to the other side, then we tighten that up. That is to prevent our Kandra from sliding back  and forth we bring it through the outside holes and secure it into there.

Finally, you get the frame built and next part of this job is going to be to put the shade block on top to protect our plants just want to get an overview of how the framework looks before the shade block goes on this is the fabric we are using to put up over the frame we built is HEFEI BETTER TECH sunblock fabric. It is just a tight woven mesh made out od recycled plastic. It is able to block out the UV rays protect the plants still allow the rain to come through and enough light to nourish the plants. The plant get the solar shade fabric secured in the middle. The last step, we need securing it with this staples trim blocking mesh has been placed over all the boards. We need tie or pin the sunblock net on the structure.

That is all institute building a sunshade obviously the dimensions and stuff will be different based on your garden but overall it is a really simple project to do. This sunshade is going to extend the growing season of your vegetables and protect your plants. One of the best ways to extend your summer crop is creating your own garden shade net.
